in the beginning of 1991 marius kuilenberg and maarten van der vleuten teamed up together and recorded two eeps for djax, *magic moments* and *...gives you central house*. marius being a dj with a great feeling for production and with a large collection of samples and maarten being a musician/technician with an own studio, turned out to be a good combination. after the two releases mentioned above, marius and maarten split up. marius focused on dj-ing only and maarten continued working as major malfunction on his own.

scott marshall is a london-based dj and producer. his debut 4-track ep, titled scott marshall demonstrates a distinctive uk booty sound. early supporters include dj deeon, john heckle, mark forshaw and jamie russell. born and raised in south london through the 80s, scott started buying records when he was 16 amassing a large collection of house, techno, disco and funk.

klangscheiben records is proud to present its frst vinyl release of a brand new series, a various artists compilation entitled „the fable“. while some tales start with “once upon a time“, this one begins with the candid rhythms and guileless synergy of german duo metaboman and large m’s “taverne master”. canadian minimal masterminds akufen and pheek each provide their own input: the former’s weaving synth-driven jazzy storylines, the latter’s a trip through fragmented instrumentals and a min-tech narrative. klangscheiben label boss demas shows his fangs with a brooding slow burner permeated by skin-crawling microsounds, a flow picked up by montreal producer magnanime’s “psychomagic master”. ark’s parable is awash with echoing vocal snippets and an addictive piano riff, melting into the strange sound of tom ellis, whose “shotgun” is at once stripped back and full of life. tomas jirku wraps up the release with “one monkey”, a glitchy, eccentric minimal piece that is as unpredictable as you’d expect from the vancouver producer. the moral of the story? listen and fnd out.

fernando gallego is not a music band which we can define as common, on the contrary. this group from uburriana, successor of funeraria vergara, started its history back in the early 1984, (after juan luis montoliu left), and it ended in 1986 with the emergence of the project *decúbito supino*. their usage of some synthesizers, amongst other gadgets, keyboards and large petrol cans, was the distinctive feature as regards to their predecessor band, such an echo defined a much more industrial and electronic sound, closer to early ebm.
